GridPrepped was born from an obsession with being prepared. GridPrepped is a passion project, built in off hours. I'm an infrastructure engineer with nearly two decades of experience responding to large-scale system failures — the kind where critical systems go dark and somebody has to get them back up. That work is a running reminder that preparation isn't optional; it's what separates the teams that recover quickly from the ones that scramble.

GridPrepped pulls real-time data from seven trusted sources — NWS weather alerts, FEMA hazard data, USGS earthquake monitoring, AirNow air quality, NIFC wildfire tracking, river flood gauges, and AMBER alerts — then personalizes everything to your zip code. Your Grid Profile shows local risks, the Grid Assessment walks you through preparedness step by step, and your Grid Score tracks your readiness over time.
